RAVEN PREMIUM BALSA FLOATS
The RAVEN® float system was specifically developed for river Steelhead and Salmon fishing. A RAVEN® float is now available for virtually any river condition and depth. Sporting a high visibility fluorescent red tip and a subtle matte black body, these balsa floats feature a high strength one-piece, fiberglass stem. Every fixed stem float is designed to take 3/32” RAVEN® Silicone Tubing on the top and 1/16” tubing on the stem, to allow anglers to quickly change float size or model as river conditions vary, without having to cut and re-tie. This is one of our secret weapons here at the Fly Rod Shop, taking nymphing to a whole new level allowing to get better drifts than any other indicators. We have a size to suit any of your needs. The weight on the float is not the weight of the float but in fact the amount of weight used to effectively fish the rig. Starting with the 1.0 Gram float for slow moving water, 2.2 for slightly faster water, 3.8 for slightly fast and 5.0 for fast water.
